Sic's guide - How to manage your CS team. Welcome.

Do you ever find yourself in the position that you play clanwars everyday with your team but you don´t seem to be going anywhere?
Well if you do then this guide should help you take your team to another level!

Counterstrike these days has become so random that anyone, even a player that has just started the game can blow your head off with the most odd gun.

You got a bad habbit of dying while holding a nade in your hand, or just when you have cleared the left side, he comes out of the right side and pop´s a bullet into your head.
All these things probably sound familier to you, therefor by following these simple steps you should minimise your deaths in these situations.

Step one: You are the tactical leader of your clan, as the leader you have the responsability of every round. This is not always an easy job, and can get very stressing and frustrating when players ain´t paying attention.
This will of course affect your play, since you don´t only call tac´s but you have to be an effective killer.
What you should do is simple. Go onto a server ask your team mates to spectate you and show them every single tactic, no need to go completely into details but just so they don´t end up in the wrong spot.
This will improve your motivation and gameplay!

Step two: Communication.
When trying to take a bombsite as terrorists, you may end up doing an A-split where you are devided into groups.
If these two groups don´t communicate you can lose the round in a second.
Always report where group1 is cause if group2 ain´t ready to shoot people in the back as group1 is distracting, the whole point of the A-split plan is ruined. Or the other way around, your choice of course!

When holding a bombsite as terrorist, always tell your team mates where you are looking, so they can feel safe and won´t get shot in the back.
You could altso take check your six positions, where you always hold the same spot if you die you won´t have to spam the ventrilo how/what/where, and your team mates can quickly rotate to that position, knowing where you died.

Taking a bombsite as counter-terrorists
You hear scream and shout that the terrorists are moving quickly and suddently half your team is dead.
What normal teams do is they move quickly to that bombsite flash abit and then die cause the flashes were too obvious, and you die one by one, reason? You didn´t communicate.

What you should do.
You move to the entrance of the bombsite, you ask your team mate/s quickly im on standby where are you guys? They tell you where they are and as you communicate you can get the perfect timing of the entrance, you move in together!
This move will surely increase your survival chances by a large amount.

Step three: The mole
Rushing straight into a bombsite as terrorists is not a bad tactic since you have more gun power and several players.
But five players for one bombsite is always one too many, that is why we have the mole. The mole is the guy who keeps his team mates focusing on one direction. He will always be turned in another direction than his team mates incase of someone trying to backstab them.
After the first part of his job is done, he will start to push behind enemy lines and backstab the opposite team. (Note: using this all the time is not wise, since the opponents will be ready for it the next time) So everyother time will do.

Step four: How to engage on a bombsite with less casualties.
When moving into a bombsite you often experience getting killed while trying to flash a position.
How to sort this?
You get one or two guys to never put their guns down, always on the look out for enemy´s while the rest flashes/smoke/grenades. As soon as the nade squad is out of ammo you quickly switch roles, and gun team can start flashing.

You can altso just ask nicely if a team mate would be so kind to flash a position for you. But keep in mind the second you don’t do this you could get unlucky and killed.

Step five: Moral of a team.
You must have noticed at some point that it’s easier to play when everyone is in a good mood or really motivated ingame.
This is why when your motivated you think more straight, the same goes for your team, if you are happy it affects your team mates.
But it can altso go the other way around, you rage everytime you die. And this will only make things worse, anger clouds your judgement and your focus!
And worse of all if you rage you will affect your team mates, every second you rage you distract them(Which is a bad thing incase you didn’t know).
Giving your mate’s comments about their game play is a positive thing. Tell them that they are doing a good job, or that they can win the round when they get into a situation.
If you feel that one of your players is not aware of some things, you can give him a few tips and pointers, but never rage! Just give him abit of positive critisism and remember to tell him that your only trying to help the team get better, and hopefully if he’s mature enough he won’t flip out and rage.

Step six : Ventrilo spam

Five guys talking at the same time in ventrilo can get really noicy, which will distract your focus.
So a good rule to your team is when you die, tell the information that you have to tell and then keep quiet.
Trust your mates to get the job done!

I do have several other steps but these will do for now, sorry I couldnt type this in icelandic since I am not at a good enough level yet, even though I am learning!

Best of luck to your team and I hope this will help you.

Play hard go pro. ;)
Haters give me so much energy!
