The Cyberathlete Professional League (CPL) has just announced the creation of CPL Nordic. This event, like the previous announcements, is through a multi-year licensing and operational agreement with E-Sport Entertainment Group AB (EEG). Monday, April 10, 2006 - Dallas, Texas, USA - The Cyberathlete Professional League (CPL) is proud to announce the formation of CPL Nordic, through a multi-year licensing and operational agreement with E-Sport Entertainment Group AB (EEG).

EEG will be exclusively responsible for the management of the CPL brand and activities in the Nordic region. The partnership between CPL and EEG, through the joint launch of CPL Nordic, is expected to strengthen and further the development of the e-sport scene in the following Nordic countries: Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland and Iceland.

Angel Munoz, Founder and President of the CPL, said, “For years gamers from the Nordic region of Europe have been big supporters of the CPL, traveling to our USA events in larger numbers than all other countries combined. Today we are happy to announce that CPL will now have a permanent presence in Sweden and we will have a growing number of EEG-managed CPL events and qualifiers in the entire Nordic region.”
