Long time plans coming true. When SK.sca broke up and before SK.swe was formed we were into heavy discussions with two particular players about forming the new swedish SK. The four main reasons were location, friendship, teamplay and skill. At that time it was not possible to form the team we wanted. In the meantime we tried a lot of players to see if they could fit the team. They all did great job and we appreciate it a lot.

Tonight we are proud to announce that the two players we had in mind for a long time are finally joining us. We like to welcome ahl and fisker. The two former 2easy and Team9 players are now completing the team we dreamed of from the beginning. Now we have a complete Stockholm based team and the players know each other well. ahl, brunk and fisker from 2easy/Team9 and Potti, HeatoN and ahl (again) from NiP. Our new line-up now looks like.

Heaton
Potti
brunk
ahl
fisker

This is the team that won the Counter-Strike Nations Cup for Sweden. I want to point out that this has nothing to do with our results lately (which imo has been very good). It is something we have been aiming for for a long time now. And finally it has come true. Again, all players live in Stockholm, this makes it very easy for us to bootcamp before big events, something that is vital in today's Counter-Strike. To become even more professional three of the SK.swe members, bds, Heaton and Potti allready signed one year contracts with SK. brunk is going to sign one now. ahl and fisker will sign one aswell in the future.

And to all comments about unprofessionalism and clans not sticking together. Everyone has to realize that:

a) The clans were from the beginning built up by friends. After a while it turned more serious and the dedication level of the particular players changed. Some still wanted to play for fun, some wanted to play very serious and often. In a team you need five players with the same goal.

b) The game is constantly changing. There a new betas, some people get bored of the changes, some does not and would like to continue.

c) Work vs real life. Since the majority of the players are quite young, their ability to play change dramatically through time.

If you do not have a full-time salary playing and you get a job offer, you might have to take it. Some feel that their results in school are getting worse and would like to get back on track and others feel that gaming is the best thing on earth, with salary and event money they can even make a living out of it.

Finally, what is unprofessional, is all people whining about gaming not being that. We all are struggeling to get there, and we will, if we believe in it. Pessimistic comments, will not make anything better. But naturally, if you do not have any good concrete proposals, the “best” thing you can do is complain.

For those of you who want to know what will happen to Bengan and Medion. Bengan stays with SK being our main reserve player. Medion goes inactive again until 1.6 is released.

Update: Because of all the negative comments Medion would just like to point out that he wanted to continue playing CS but did not have any other choice than to go inactive.

_____________________________________________
