Trúlega ertu m.a. að spá í þetta kort vegna mikils skjáminnis. Ég held að skjákort með 256mb skjáminni sé mjög góð lausn ef þú ert með móbó sem er ekki með AGP 8x. Hér að neðan er tilvitnun í ágætis grein um AGP tengin sem skýrir hversvegna.

Ég myndi ekki fá mér þetta kort, það virðist ekki hafa nógu mikinn hraða til að nýta allt þetta minni eins og kom fram á HardOCP

Svo er Nvidia búnir að hanna nýtt 5600 Ultra kort sem keyrir á meiri hraða en þessi fyrstu kort, eða 400 MHz GPU/MEM miðað við 350 MHz á þessum fyrstu. Mér skilst að 256 MB kortin komi bara í Non ultra 325 MHz útgáfunni.

Hraðinn á þessu korti er ekki nógu góður miðað við gömlu Gf4 Ti seríuna eins og sést á nær öllum greinum um það:

Kortið nær ekki að halda í við gömlu Gf4 Ti kortin í neinum leik nema þegar AA/Aniso er í gangi, hins vegar hefur kortið varla nógu mikinn hraða til að keyra nokkurn leik með AA/Aniso hvort sem er.

Sjálfur er ég að leyta mér að nýju skjákorti en held ég bíði aðeins lengur þangað til í júlí þegar Geforce FX 5900 kemur í búðir.
Ef ég yrði að velja kort núna yrði það eflaust GF4 Ti 4200 eða 4800SE sem kosta 17-20 þúsund. Á meðan þessi 256 MB kort eru á 23-27 þúsund.
