Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang)

Brooke Logan, a stunningly beautiful blonde, grew up in a middle class family in the San Fernando Valley. Always dreaming of a better life, Brooke envisioned herself living amongst the rich and famous in Los Angeles. Brooke longed for money, power – and true love. By any possible method, she was out to capture her lucrative piece of the American dream.

Her mother, Beth Logan, ran a successful catering business. One day Brooke found her family the opportunity to be amongst the upper crust, when Beth was hired to cater a Forrester party. Beth had at one time been romantically involved with the owner of Forrester Creations, Eric Forrester. When a photo of the Forrester family appeared in a magazine a few days before the party, Brooke zeroed in on Eric's first-born son, the devastatingly handsome bachelor, Ridge Forrester. Ridge was also a fashion designer at his family's fashion house.

“Brooke longed for money, power – and true love.”

At the Forrester family party catered by the Logans, Ridge Forrester did take note of the beautiful Brooke. However, any hope of anything further than friendship seemed impossible, since Ridge was engaged to Caroline Spencer. Brooke set out to make Caroline her best friend. Ridge's younger brother Thorne wanted Caroline, and Brooke wanted Ridge, so they plotted together to get Thorne and Caroline together. Brooke and Thorne saw no problem in using methods that were sneaky and underhanded. Just as Ridge and Caroline were supposed to wed, they had a spat. Brooke and Thorne intercepted and hid a note to Caroline from Ridge, asking Caroline to forgive him. Eventually, Caroline married Thorne, leaving Brooke free to pursue Ridge. Instead, Caroline realized she still loved Ridge. She divorced Thorne and married Ridge. When Caroline died of leukemia, Ridge eventually married a beautiful new psychiatrist in town, Taylor Hayes. However, Brooke's appetite for Ridge never waned, and they spent years chasing one another between their various other relationships.

The biggest obstacle to Brooke getting what – and whom – she wanted was the equally strong-willed matriarch of the Forrester family. Stephanie had taken an instant dislike to “that opportunist” Brooke. Not only did Stephanie have little regard for Beth Logan over the years, but she saw Brooke as trying to recapture what her mother lost – the love of a Forrester. But Brooke would not feel Stephanie's full wrath until she learned that Brooke slept with her former husband Eric and had gotten pregnant. At times, Brooke tried valiantly to bond with Stephanie – her harshest critic – though to no avail. There was just too much animosity over the years.

“Brooke's appetite for Ridge never waned, and they spent years chasing one another between their various other relationships.”

Brooke Logan continued to love Ridge passionately, but when he ultimately decided to marry Caroline, Brooke turned her affections toward his father, Eric Forrester. When she was legally married to Eric, Brooke had two children – son Rick and daughter Bridget. Bridget's paternity was clouded in uncertainty for a time. When she still was married to Eric, Brooke had a one-night fling with Ridge on the floor of her lab and became pregnant. After the birth of “their” daughter, Bridget, it turned out that Bridget wasn't Ridge's child, but Eric's. Brooke had a brief reactive psychosis, losing her memory. She ended up in Barbados – alone, bewildered and isolated – trying to cope with the shock she had endured.

Brooke did finally get to marry Ridge – once – after Ridge's wife Taylor was lost and presumed dead in an airplane crash. They had a fairytale wedding on the beach in Malibu. But after Taylor came back from the dead, a judge ruled that Brooke and Ridge's marriage was invalid. Nevertheless, Ridge tried to make a go of it with Brooke, but once it was revealed that Ridge was not Bridget's father, Ridge and Brooke's relationship began to deteriorate. Eventually, Ridge chose to pursue his relationship with Taylor. Later on, Brooke married a man named Grant Chambers, whom her son Rick shot. (Ridge gallantly took the blame.) Grant lived, but later contracted testicular cancer and died.

“Once it was revealed that Ridge was not Bridget's father, Ridge and Brooke's relationship began to deteriorate.”

A few years later, Brooke shockingly fell in love with Ridge's brother, Thorne. Although Thorne was separated from Macy at the time, Stephanie went ballistic that Brooke would dare to try and hook yet another Forrester man. After a horrifying car crash and explosion in which Macy was killed (Brooke was in the car but escaped), Brooke and Thorne were married. Wanting her son's happiness, Stephanie finally came around and approved the marriage. (She even walked Brooke down the aisle.) Less than a year later, Brooke decided she was still in love with Ridge (who was married to Taylor and determined to stay that way) and divorced Thorne.

Brooke had a keen mind, and it was through her invention – the BeLieF Formula – in which the Forrester Creations Company came into wider prominence. From that discovery, Brooke managed to wrest 51 percent and declare herself the company's CEO. Brooke began studiously learning the Forrester family business, but her ideas and methods of operations would always lead into vastly heated confrontations with Stephanie and other members of the Forrester clan.

While Brooke claims to love her children, it was often her own actions regarding her personal love life that caused her children the most problems. In fact, Brooke's current relationship with her daughter Bridget's husband, Deacon, is about to explode the family unit. Brooke secretly made love to her daughter's husband Deacon and became pregnant! Brooke lost all perspective as she became embroiled in this latest love affair and despite her torment, she continued meeting with Deacon. Her pregnancy was exposed at a Forrester press conference and the public demanded to know who the father was. To Brooke's and everyone's surprise, Whipple “Whip” Jones – a longtime employee of Forrester Creations – claimed to be the father. Brooke went along with this as it provided her with a convenient cover story.

Brooke and Deacon continued their affair and on one occasion they stole a passionate kiss in her office. Stephanie walked in and caught them and demanded to know the whole truth. Stephanie was disgusted by Brooke's actions and she harshly reprimanded Brooke's unforgivable actions calling Brooke the “Whore of Beverly Hills.” Stephanie forced Brooke to accept Whip's marriage proposal – at least for Bridget's sake. Brooke walked down the aisle and recited her vows, but throughout the ceremony she was looking into Deacon's eyes, not Whip's.

Bridget threw a baby shower for her mother and it seemed that mother and daughter were closer than ever. Bridget left the baby shower to look for Deacon and moments after she left, Deacon arrived at the house looking for Bridget. Instead, he found Brooke in the nursery with the baby. Brooke and Deacon had a heart-to-heart talk about how it was best for everyone that they parted ways and they reminisced about their love affair. Unbeknownst to them, Bridget had returned to the house and overheard their conversation through the baby monitor. Bridget was devastated to learn of the affair and that Deacon was the father of Brooke's baby.

Bridget soon contacted Brooke and asked her to meet her at the Big Bear cabin. There, Bridget confronted her mother with the truth and Brooke begged her daughter's forgiveness, but Bridget was unwilling to forgive her. Brooke gave birth to her baby at the cabin with the help of Stephanie and Bridget but as soon as the baby was born, Bridget walked out of her life. With the help of Stephanie, Brooke tried to focus her attention on her new baby and not on men. Slowly, Brooke has been gaining Bridget's trust again. Mother and daughter had a breakthrough when Brooke was shot by Sheila. This incident and the death of Taylor made Bridget realize that life is very fragile and she wanted to have a more involved relationship with her mother. Since Taylor's death, Brooke has been spending more time with Ridge. Stephanie has been infuriated by this, believing Brooke is trying to make a play for Ridge. Meanwhile, Deacon returned and he has been badder than ever. He threatened to tell Ridge about their affair and Brooke paid him off with a check, but Deacon doesn't seem willing to back down. Will Brooke's sordid past threaten her future with Ridge? Will Brooke and Ridge rekindle their romance and finally have a chance at being happy together, or will Stephanie and Massimo prevent Brooke from being with the man she loves?
