The White Stripes, sem samanstendur af systkinunum Jack og Meg White gáfu út fyrstu plötuna sína árið 1999 og kallaðist hún einfaldlega The White Stripes. Þessi plata varð strax gífurlega vinsæl og þau eignuðust aðdáendur um allan heim með þessari frábæru tónlist.
