Þetta er bresk hljómsveit sem ég held varla vatni yfir. Þvílíkt intensity og læti að það hálfa væri nóg. Þeir hafa gefið út eina plötu, Eight Moons, sem er að slá í gegn í rokkpressunni, sem keppist um að lofa hana.

Sveitina skipa 5 hressir menn sem blanda saman prog thrash power, þannig að tónlistin hljómar eins og samblanda af Judas Priest, Pantera og Dream Theater. Söngvarinn er einnig alveg magnaður, fer alveg upp á háa registerið þegar við á, og hljómar næstu stundina eins og Phil Anselmo ef tónlistin krefst þess. Algjört powerhouse!

Nokkrar umsagnir:

“Eight Moons” is an impressive opening shot, sounding state-of-the-art without losing sight of the undeniable pleasures of old school metal. Anthemic cuts like “Do You Know Me” stay the right side of cheesy, while “In The Core of Darkness”, and “Distorted” display a knack for downbeat atmospherics. The obvious comparison is the moment when Priest put the late 80's behind them and discovered Pantera, resulting in the absolutely f**king classic Painkiller…

The concept is complex: A fantasy of twinned dimensions and the music matches the bold storyline. It's accomplished power/ thrash metal played with a broad, blazing sweep by musicians who are clearly a cut or two above the rest. The Record has to be heard in it's entirety, but “Do you know me” and “Hunted” are particularly stunning. Prog Metal has found new champions.

The music of Biomechanical is one of the most exiting and innovative metal music that has been created for many years! Their sound has got NOTHING to do with anything else that has been heard before, all of the songs are simply fantastic. The energy that they produce can send a rocket to Pluto !! The attitude surpasses some of the most extreme bands around, the melodies are brilliant and their technique can be a lesson to be studied carefully of how to shred the guitars and destroy the drums while playing.

England's BIOMECHANICAL is one of the newest players on the progressive-power-thrash metal scene and they make their initial mark with their grand new debut cd EIGHT MOONS.

With a sound that combines influences from bands such as METALLICA, NEVERMORE, DREAM THEATER and PANTERA but with a sound of their own, BIOMECHANICAL may very well be one of the most refreshing new bands of 2003.

From the throat grabbing sounds of The Awakening to the final notes of the emotionally heavy Point of No Return, BIOMECHANICAL succeeds in giving the UK and and the rest of the world a much necessary kick in the ass with EIGHT MOONS. Can you say metal…

Fucking INTENSE…

British band Biomechanical combines the most aggressive elements of power, thrash and prog into a wall of overpowering, convulsive sound that seizes your attention, removes you from reality and pulls you into its own dark universe of metal psychosis.
Biomechanical is an awe-inspiring band to watch out for. This is metal for people who want more.
