Silicon Knights eru hættir að vera Nintendo 2nd party. Þetta getur hafið skelfileg áhrif, meðal annars getur það þýtt að Too Human komi ekki út á N5 eða NGC-Next. Samt þarf það ekki endilega að vera. Kannski verður þetta allt í lagi.

In what will come as a shocker to many, Silicon Knights, developer of such hits as Eternal Darkness and the recent Metal Gear Solid remake, has ceased to be a Nintendo second party.

According to IGNcube, the development studio will now be allowed to develop titles for competing consoles such as Sony’s PlayStation 2 and Microsoft’s Xbox.

“Silicon Knights and Nintendo have agreed to mutually part ways,” Silicon Knights' president Denis Dyack told IGNcube.

“Nintendo and Silicon Knights have reached an agreement allowing Silicon Knights to pursue its vision of videogame entertainment with other companies,” spoke a Nintendo of America spokesperson. “Nintendo respects the creative work of Silicon Knights and the parties have left the door open to work on future projects that meet the creative vision of both companies.”

Denis Dyack clarified that the agreement does not mean that Silicon Knights will no longer develop for Nintendo; it just means that they will be able to develop games for competing systems.

“It's possible that we may do another game with Nintendo, actually. It just means that we've decided to break our exclusivity with Nintendo", Spoke Dyack
