Brendan Shanahan (left) and the defending Stanley Cup champions bounced back in a big way Thursday night. Two days after blowing a three-goal lead in a 4-3 overtime loss to Vancouver, Shanahan registered a hat trick as Detroit cruised to a 6-2 victory over the Edmonton Oilers. The Red Wings were a remarkable 5-for-7 on the power play. Tomas Holmstrom tallied twice for the Wings, while Sergei Fedorov and Brett Hull collected three assists apiece.
