Já norco voru að finna galla í hjólum og það er nauðsynlegt að allir sem eiga downhill hjól frá norco tékki á sínu hjóli áður en þeir fara næst á þau!
Og ég er ekki viss hvort þetta sé í réttum flokki eða hvort myndirnar virka, það er ekki hægt að forskoða og ekki hægt að velja flokk þannig það þarf bara að færa þennann þráð ef það er hægt.

Af pinkbike:

Norco Performance Bikes, in conjunction with the United States Consumer Products Safety Commission, is conducting a voluntary safety campaign of the above identified bicycle frames. Even though these frames have exceeded the requirements of the world’s most stringent testing standards, Norco has received reports that the head tube areas of these frames can develop cracks in abusive riding conditions. These cracks could cause the head tube to separate from the remainder of the frame, resulting in a fall from the bicycle, an accident and personal injury.

WHAT YOU SHOULD DO:

Immediately check your frame in the areas shown in the photograph above. If you see any evidence of a crack, do not ride your bicycle. Bring your bicycle to Norco dealer to make arrangements for your continued riding. If your frame shows no signs of any cracking, you may continue riding your bicycle. However, you may not perform any jumps or drops greater than 5 feet (1.75 meters) in height. If you perform any jumps or drops, you must use proper riding form, and both wheels must land simultaneously on a transition or down ramp. In addition, you must inspect your frame before every ride to make sure that there is no evidence whatsoever of any crack. Contact your local Norco Dealer to schedule a free front triangle replacement upgrade, whether or not your frame shows any evidence of a crack.

If you have any questions, please contact your local Norco dealer or visit our website at www.norco.com

The recall affects all the sizes and colours of these models. It's important to note that the second production 2009 Atomiks with side and under down tube gussets are NOT affected by the recall. Also, if you have a redesigned frame and there is a “o” stamped after the serial number the frame is not involved in this recall either.

You can find more info on Norco's website. Like I said, take the frame in to your local shop. Even if your frame isn't cracked, I'd still recommend taking it in. We all know we'll get bored if we don't “perform any jumps or drops greater than 5 feet (1.75 meters) in height”. We also know that we're not always smooth having both wheels “land simultaneously on a transition or down ramp”. If you're riding one of the affected frames, take it in. Because nobody likes a snapped headtube.

Some of you out there might be whining, “Norco sucks, that's why they snap”. The way I see it, Norco is doing a good thing by admitting there is a danger with some of their frames and recalling them. They are losing money to keep us riders safe instead of pretending there is no problem and watching us all eat a face full of dirt. For that, I give major props to Norco.

Ride safe.
