þegar ég las morgunblaðið í morgun sá ég athiglisverða “frétt”. Hún var um Eragon. Þar kom fram að Nýjasta eragon bókin myndi koma út 20 september 2008, ekki 28 september eins og áður var sagt frá. Og, það er komið nafn á bókina. Á ensku mun hún heita Brisingr. Eða Brisingur á íslensku.Ég fór á wikipeda og leitaði meiri upplýsinga:

*Drekinn á kápunni mun vera Gullitaður en ekki Grænn.
*Bókin mun heita Brisingr.

Og miklu meira hérna tekið af wikipedia( á ensku, ef það er eitthvað sem þið skiljið ekki þá bara biðja um að þýða, ætti ekki að vera vandamál, ef þð verður ekki of mikið) :

“Writing

The Inheritance cycle was originally planned as a trilogy.
In an October 30, 2007 press release, Paolini revealed that the third book was so large that it would need to be published in two volumes. Brisingr is scheduled to be released on September 20, 2008, and book four's release date is unknown so far.

Regarding the title, Paolini said, ”'Brisingr' is one of the first words I thought of for this title, and it’s always felt right to me.” “As the first ancient-language word that Eragon learns, it has held particular significance for his legacy as a Dragon Rider. In this new book, it will be revealed to be even more meaningful than even Eragon could have known.

“Brisingr” is an Ancient Language word meaning “fire”, used to summon and control fire by magic-users in the series.

The cover, featuring the gold dragon Glaedr, was drawn by John Jude Palencar. The content of the cover was one of the few things initially confirmed by Paolini. The cover was to feature an emerald-green dragon looking to the right. However, Paolini later indicated that this was affected by the expansion of the series to a four-book cycle, but did not explain the change at the time.

Content

Since the third book was split into two volumes, some of these details may appear in the fourth book instead of the third. Paolini has also stated that the book will end with the death of another major character, but gave no hints as to who it might be.

In the Eragon Newsletter of March 2006, Paolini writes near the end that the book is “coming along nicely” and that he has a battle to write.

In March 2003, Christopher Paolini was interviewed by Mike Macauley of the website shurtugal.com and he revealed the following information:

At the end of Eldest, the Varden still favor Nasuada in terms of leadership, but Paolini has hinted that in the third book, this might change.

Paolini also mentioned that in the third book it will be revealed if Saphira ever finds a mate.
More information about Tornac (Murtagh's old friend and trainer) will be revealed.
Elva, along with “every other character,” will have an important role to play.

Paolini answered some questions for his fans on his official site in July and August 2006[8] and gave a video interview in December 2006 to promote the movie.

It is unclear how Thorn, Murtagh's dragon, matured to rival Saphira despite their age difference, but Christopher Paolini has stated that it will be revealed in the coming book.

The nature of the spirits that sorcerers summon will be revealed; already it has been stated that they are not the souls of sentient creatures returned from the afterlife.
According to Eldest, Eragon and Saphira have given their oath to return to the elves for further training in the ancient language.

In February 2007, Paolini answered an Open Letter of the Czech fan site Alagaesie.net and Eragon1.net. He answered the following questions regarding the third book of the Inheritance Cycle (before it was split into two books):

Information about Brom's lover (referred to by Angela) will be revealed.
Eragon has yet to acquire the new weapon
referred to in the first book, wherein Solembum said, “When the time comes and you need a weapon, look under the roots of the Menoa tree”.
Eragon has yet to visit the Vault of Souls and speak his name to obtain his increased power, as instructed by Solembum also in the first book: “Then, when all seems lost and your power is insufficient, go to the rock of Kuthian and speak your name to open the Vault of Souls”.
More about dwarf culture will be revealed.
Ajihad's back-story will be revealed.
More of Arya's background will be revealed.
The real reason for which Selena, Eragon's mother, left Urû-Baen and came to Carvahall, then disappeared, will be revealed.
The seven words Brom told Eragon before he died, and how they will be of use, will be revealed.
Eragon's true name is revealed.
A major character will die at the end of book three.

Excerpt
An excerpt from Brisingr, “Light and Shadow”, was included in the Eldest deluxe edition and later released on the Fricaya network. The chapter follows Roran, Eragon and Saphira as they approach Helgrind. Saphira finds the mountain's impregnability to be an illusion created by Galbatorix, and enters it to find a large cavern. The chapter closes with Saphira being attacked by a Lethrblaka (a parent of the Ra'zac), which knocks the breath out of Eragon."
