+ LOST DJS + STASIS

Making a welcome return with an exclusive uk appearance is techno don
RICHIE
HAWTIN (a.k.a. PLASTIKMAN), playing his first LOST party since June
2003.Richie’s career has spanned such a large amount of time that he
has
truly become a legend in his own right. From F.U.S.E. to his Plus 8,
Probe
and now M-nus labels and the one and only Plastikman, Richie Hawtin
remains
one of the most creative and awe-inspiring DJ/producers on the planet.
On
this occassion Richie will present a dexnfx set featuring future
classics
along side old school inspirations.A master class in techno evangelism.
Also in the red room the UK electronic pioneers PLAID push us forward
into
the realms of the experimental. A production team who have endeavoured
to
provide a discography that spans the history of UK techno itself.
Originally
comprising two thirds of the original Black Dog line up (who also
played
Lost back in the day) they've continued to develop their considerable
and
prolific output on Warp, culminating most recently with their much
acclaimed
‘Spokes’ album. Collaborations include work with artists as diverse as
Bjork, Nicolette and Kushti, alongside gigs at the Barbican, RFH, plus
many
other worldwide dates. This set finds them fusing turntable DJing with
laptops, enabling unreleased material to be featured alongside familiar
musical gems.
Lost main-man, STEVE BICKNELL, heads the action in the Red Area,
setting the
musical tone for the evening and showcasing the sonic style of his
Cosmic,
ID, and Lost Recordings labels.
Take time out from the dancefloor to experience an alternative journey
through sound and vision, an interactive visual soundscape interspersed
with
choice dj sets. Featuring Kim Bilir and Stasis to date, the main
project is
t.b.c. (last presentation was an exclusive preview of the Jeff Mills
'Three
Ages' London debut).A format proving increasingly popular in the purple
space. silent space. seek out ‘inside the white cube’ installation
