Dj Kered mun spila á Kapital á föstudaginn 28 maí.

Dj Kered kemur frá Bandaríkjunum og hefur komið víða við. Hann hefur 10 ára reynslu á því að þeyta skýfum og er orðinn einn af toppum danstónlistar neðanjarðar senunar í Norðaustur bandaríkjunum. Hann spilar það sem að virkar hverju sinni en gefur sig út fyrir að spila rafræna danstónlist á borð við tekkhús
og djúphús með framsæknum blæ.
Hér að neðan má lesa á ensku eitt og annað sem dj Kered hefur komið nálægt.
Residing in New Haven, Connecticut, Kered knew from an early age that music would be a driving force in his life. The sounds of Herbie Hancock, Miles Davis, Prince, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, The Human League, disco and countless other 70’s and 80’s acts were the soundtrack to his childhood. Kered vividly recalls his father bringing home a 45-record of Kraftwerk’s “Robots”. Unlike anything he had ever heard at the time, Kered was instantly hooked to the futuristic sounds of electronic music.

From then on out, Kered became a music junkie and frequented clubs such as Riot (Hartford), The Loft (Boston), NASA (NYC), and the Playground (Montreal) during the 1990 – 1991 era. These particular clubs exposed Kered to the sounds of underground dance music and DJs such as Doc Martin, Sven Vath, Laurent Garnier and many others.

Producing a series of rave events during 1996 – 2000, Kered’s “Nocturnal” events escalated to near legendary proportions for New England, drawing thousands of people to events such as Freaky, Faith and Dream. It was during this period where Kered began to make a name for himself as a DJ, often choosing the opening or closing slots of events in order to set the proper tone and mood for each party. Eventually, balancing the act of promoter and DJ became increasingly difficult and Kered pursued his true passion of DJing.

Apart from DJing, Kered is the host of FutureBPM Radio, a live weekly radio program featuring underground dance music on the airwaves of 89.3 FM WRTC in Hartford. Seven years later, the music continues every Tuesday night on the FM dial.

Today, Kered continues to travel as a DJ on a regular basis and has become a regular in locales such as NYC, Boston, Providence, and abroad in Europe. Using Final Scratch, Kered continues to push the envelope of the DJ’s role. Also busy in the studio, keep your eyes peeled for an upcoming release co-produced with Chris & Kai (Yoshitoshi, Schinichi Records). Entitled “Believe”, it is already gaining support from international DJs such as Lee Cabrera, the Low End Specialists and John Acquaviva! Keep an eye out and spread the word…see you in a city near you!
