Skref 1:http://i40.tinypic.com/f4npk9.jpgThis example/article will reflect the drawings in the steps as we go, first chalk a 6" line [red] across the bottom side of a 1/2" 4x8 sheeting. Pulling from the right side of the sheeting put a mark at 5'5 on the top and bottom of the sheet, off that measurement place a 8' 2x4 on the sheeting flush to the bottom running out past the top. Next pull a measurement off the [red] 6" line up the 2x4 then put a nail in the board at 6'9. Tie a string to the nail with a marking pen on the other side, from the nail to the end of the string where a marking pen is the measurement needs to be 6'9. Cut out the 1st [pattern/template] side and use that to trace the arc/pattern to make 3 more sides.

Skref 2: http://i41.tinypic.com/2a4wzgl.jpgBuild a 8'x8' 2x6 wall out of treaded lumber with the center studs 16" on center. [studs cut at 7' 9 to make a 8' wall] This wall will be used as the center of the halfpipe.

Skref 3:http://i39.tinypic.com/16m7x1y.jpgNext check your width of the 2x6 boards that you bought, measure it because in most cases it comes 5-1/2" wide. [if so remove a 1/2“ from the bottom 6” [red] line] Take the side patterns set the up and add a 2x6 in every 8“ on center going up the arc. The total width of the wall and the total width of the sides with the arc/1/2” sheeting should be the same measurement. Where the patterns starts on the bottom side there should be a treaded 2x6 used for screwing the sides and center together creating the frame of the halfpipe.

Skref 4: From the outside 4 corners it would be best to add in some 4x4 posts to help keep it in place, however, that is only optional. But at this point you should frame 2 more walls to be used for the top on the ramp. [or to be used for the top floors] A 3'x8' wall/floor should work fine add one in on both sides and frame in under them to support the floor.

Skref 5: http://i40.tinypic.com/ruup2w.jpgLast at the top corner of the side patterns you will have to fit in a 8'x1-1/2“ circle steel. Cut a 22-1/2 degree angle across the 1-1/2” side of a 8' 2x6 then using a peace of 3/8 sheeting cut with that same angle on it sitting on the arc studs slide the circle steel out till it planes just past the sheeting on the arc. Finish by using treaded 2x6 for the top floors of the halfpipe and sheet the ramp off with 3/8" sheeting. Be sure to counter sink all the screws used.
